Welcome friends,

My name is Miss Katrina, and I love teaching at Outschool!! I am a creative arts educator with 8 years of public teaching experience. I love music, theater, art, and of course, teaching students of all ages!! Are you looking for individual instrumental lessons or small group music/art classes with an enthusiastic teacher? You are in the right place!!

During my lessons, my goal is to connect with each student and create a positive and fun learning experience. We will move and groove, sing and play, explore creativity, and make connections with other students near and far! No matter the age, I believe arts education can help students develop self-esteem, learn to cope with difficult situations and emotions, and increase achievement in all areas of their education.

My professional background in teaching started when I earned my Bachelors degree in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and continued as I received extra teaching training from Arizona State University. I have taught in public elementary schools for the past 8 years and also taught music lessons for individuals or small groups. I studied woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet and saxophone) in University, but also love playing guitar, ukulele and piano. Finally, I have experience teaching arts and crafts camps through the city parks department!!

When I am not teaching, I spend time with my family and my cute, little dog Annie or go for a hike the Arizona desert and mountains. I even go rock climbing when the weather is nice!

I can't wait to meet you!!
