1 hour per week. There will not be assigned homework. The only homework will be for students to continue to practice the strumming patterns taught and have fun playing. Each learner will be encouraged to practice and play for their friends and family.Assessment
The learner will be assessed through informal assessment/observation.Class Experience
In this class, you will learn and practice different strumming patterns using the C chord. For class, you will need a ukulele that is already tuned. You can join this class to get the basics that will help you be well on your way to playing simple songs. It will help if students have taken classes 1 and 2, so they know some of the chords we will be using in addition to the C chord to play songs in this class. I will model each strum pattern and give students opportunity to practice each one. This class helps students gain new knowledge about slow and fast strumming patterns and rhythms that change with different song styles. In addition to this class, I have four others that teach specific skills to help children become confident in their music playing.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of playing the ukulele using different strumming patterns.
