No experience necessary. Students require a ukulele for this class. Get started with great technique! In this 5 day beginner's course, students will learn the foundations of playing the ukulele. Students will learn how to hold the ukulele. Students will learn the names of the strings. Students will learn to count and strum simple rhythmic patterns. We will learn chords (C, Am, F, G). We will learn to play 2 pop songs with an easy strum (Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars and I'm Yours...
Students will learn: -Technique - how to hold the ukelele with good posture -Left hand technique - shape and position of the left hand on the neck of the ukulele -Right hand technique - beginner strumming patterns -Instrument knowledge - the parts of the ukulele and how to tune it -Exercises for finger strength -Chords (C, Am, F, G) - 2 pop songs (Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars and I'm Yours by Jason Mraz)
I recommend students practice every day for 15 - 20 minutes.
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
