Description
Class Experience
Students will gain the song knowledge and be able to play many songs by the end of class by strumming and putting chords together to form songs.
I have been teaching for 17 years, I have a passion for music and love to teach it to beginning students. Music opens so many possibilities and Ukuleles are an easy instrument to learn. You can learn something one day and be able to play it right away. I teach PreK-5th grade general music and art, This including learning pitched and non pitched instruments, music history, movement, and ukulele.
1 file available upon enrollmentI will provide the information and chord finger positions and all they need is a ukulele and the willingness to learn something new every day. There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your ukulele. I use Ukulele Tuner app and you can use this to tune the ukulele before class.
Visually I will assess the proper way to hold the ukulele, strumming fingers, and correct hand positions for chords.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
