Description
Class Experience
Students will learn and improve upon their musical ability with playing the ukulele and memorizing its chord fingerings. Singing is heavily encouraged, although it is not necessary a part of the curriculum (songs/melodies will be taught and singing or humming the tune is helpful to beginner students).
Practice the chord finger positions and strumming techniques discussed in class, as well as practice playing songs that we learn during our lessons.
-Ukulele (Note: The teacher uses a "soprano" ukulele, but any real ukulele instrument will be acceptable. However, please note that the tone/pitch of the student instrument may be slightly different than that of the teacher.) -Ukulele Tuner (app version or small tuning device are recommended)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The student will be informally assessed weekly by the teacher and given specific pointers on what to practice more or what to modify in their technique.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
