What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1 hour per week. Students can expect about a minimum of 15-20 min of practice for at least 3 days a week. The more practice the better but students can start with the minimum first to gain an idea of how they would like their practice schedule to look like.Class Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
I will pick and feature a Taylor Swift song that can be from any of her albums and teach students basic technique on the ukulele such as finger technique, strumming, rhythm and chording. Students will get the experience of learning alongside other students whether they are a beginner or experienced musician and get the opportunity to talk about how Taylor Swift has impacted their musical journey and what their favorite song/album is from her. Students can also voice which Taylor Swift song they would like to learn in the future so that I can consider popular choices to learn each week. After we learn the musicianship of the selected song, we will learn to play and sing along at the same time! Students will require a tuned ukulele that has strings tuned (from top to bottom) G, C, E & A and a guitar tuner app that can be downloaded onto a phone or tablet. Examples of songs we will learn: Week of September 17th: Fortnight Week of September 24th : Cardigan Week of Oct 1st: Getaway Car Week of Oct 8: Cruel Summer Week of Oct 15: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together I will also still teach this class no matter how many students are enrolled.
Learning Goals
Students will get the experience of learning how to play an instrument and sing at the same time and get the opportunity to interact with other students and/or the teacher in a fun setting.
