Besides teaching professionally, as a nationally touring recording artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist, I have performed at venues such as: Salem Arts Festival, RISD, Cornell University, Hampshire College, Colgate University, The Multicultural Theater Space in Kitchener Ontario as well as numerous colleges, festivals, fairs, and coffeehouses around the US.
Practicing the class material throughout the week is recommended. Learners should aim for practicing ten minutes a day, five days a week.
Please bring a ukulele and a tuner (if one is available) to class. If a tuner is not available, there are apps and online pages that can help with tuning. Please feel free to message me about tuning prior to class and I will be happy to help.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will provide chords charts and other supplemental material as well as links to play along songs. Prior to class, feel free to visit https://ukebuddy.com/ukulele-tuner to tune your ukulele prior to class to ensure you are ready to play!
