Students will learn how to tie their shoe laces. I will teach three different ways to tie shoes, plus an additional step of double knotting. The students will be introduced with a fun ice breaker, and then we will get to instruction. Students should have a shoe nearby so that they can follow along. Students will participate in a lot of repetition of tying and untying the shoe to make sure it sticks. Students will improve their ability to tie their own shoes.
There will be no homework. Students should continue to tie their shoes and practice occasionally each day so that it becomes muscle memory. Practice makes perfect!
Students will need a shoe or a pair of shoes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be informally assessed during class. Students will be able to tie a shoe by the end of class.
