Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to use the Question and Answer form of note-taking and the Cornell System in order to be more focused, more attentive and more engaged both in class and out of class. BOTH of these systems are designed to allow students to become confident, accountable learners. They move students from passive to active learners! Students will learn how to use these systems to learn from both readings and class discussions/lectures. Finally, students will learn how to use these systems as effective ways to study for quizzes and tests.
Please bring a textbook or other reading material you are currently using for one of your classes at school.
There is no assessment, but there is practice with support.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to teacher prepared sources during the lesson. These include examples of textbooks and of novels.
