Description

Class Experience

Session 1: Students will represent two digit numbers using pictures and/or manipulatives.
Session 2: Students will add two digit numbers without regrouping using number bonds, pictures, and/or manipulatives.
Session 3: Students will add two digit numbers with regrouping using number bonds, pictures, and/or manipulatives.
Session 4: Students will use developed skills of adding two digit numbers with regrouping to solve word problems. 
There is no assigned homework. There will be optional practice problems if students wish to practice in between classes. 
Please bring a pencil and paper or whiteboard and marker to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner Progress is assessed through teacher observation during class. The teacher will provide verbal and written feedback for each student clarifying misconceptions and celebrating successes. Each class will finish with an exit ticket that will assess the students' understanding of the material for the day that will be reviewed to determine mastery of each concept. 
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
