Description
Class Experience
This class will cover acrylic painting techniques such as: Sponge painting Blending Scraping Splattering Masking We will also talk about basic composition and highlights/shadows.
This is a one time class so students will not have additional homework, however if they do not finish the painting during class time I will expect them to finish it on their own after class.
- 5 OR ORE PAINT COLOURS: Must have green, blue, purple, black, white. (Pink is helpful but not needed) - 2 OR MORE SPONGES - PAINTERS TAPE (or masking tape) - 2 PAINT SURFACE: Wooden canvas, stretched canvas, or canvas board. No smaller than 5x7 and no larger than 10x14 - OLD RAG/CLOTH - HARD PLASTIC CARD (used gift card, rewards card...) - WATER - BLOWDRIER NOTE: Because we will be making areas off with tape, paper or cardboard will not work for this painting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Feedback will be given when a photo of the painting is sent to me. I will talk about: Over all painting Composition Painting skill Color blending Masking
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will need a blow dryer for this class.
