The students will learn how to inflate long (260) twisty balloons with a hand pump (we do not learn mouth inflating), tie the balloon & how to do a basic fold. They will twist at least 4 balloon shapes this first week, more if time permits. There will be free twisting or extra personal instruction at the end of the class, if time permits, . The teacher will give personalized instruction and adapt to reach student's learning style. Learning rooms may be utilized, if necessary. Younger children may be able participate, however, an older sibling or adult may be required for tying the balloon.(wrap the nozzle around 2 fingers and thread it through your 2 fingers.) Be sure to come with pre-inflated balloons. We will still learn how to tie, but it can be tricky in the beginning and will slow us down if we have to blow each one up and tie it. Have ready: At least 12 balloons leaving 1 inch of a tail at the end. At least 8 balloons with a 2 inch tail at the end. More of various sizes for free play at the end of class.
Learning Goals
Students will start off learning basic balloon twisting skills-inflating, tying a knot & a basic fold and twist.
Advanced classes are also available. If you already know the basics, check out the other courses (102-104) to see which class is appropriate for you. In the 3 weeks that follow they will progress through more difficult twists and will be able to "WOW" others with their animals & creations. They will have enough material to make balloons for fundraising for school, church, camps or clubs they are in.

Supply List
materials: Betallatex Professional Balloon Twisting Kit with 50 balloons and a pump-$18 free shipping on Amazon. Or 260 sized balloons. It is important that they are "260". The preferred brand is Qualatex or Betallatex (Sempertex in Canada) My supplier is LaRocks Fun & Magic Outlet (https://www.larocksmagic.com/) (260 is the size, not the quantity) Other brands are not recommended and could cause a lot of frustration because of using cheaper balloons. A permanent marker for drawing on the balloons

Teacher expertise and credentials
Would you like to learn to twist a balloon into an animal? And not just an animal, but crowns & helmets, unicorns & more! The balloon workshop will teach you all of this!
This is my business-entertaining with balloons! With over 20 years of experience Twisting & Entertaining at parties, events, local restaurants and schools, as well as volunteering my time at hospitals, retirement homes, shelters, and orphanages. I love what I do!
Step-by-step, starting at inflation & tying, we will use simple instructions to learn how to make the basic twists, which will allow you to make lots of different Animals & Things!
I like simple!
But, if you want to get more fancy, we can move on to trickier twists in the advanced classes. Something for everyone! 6 to 16 (or older).
You supply the balloons & pump, I'll do the teaching.
(Don't worry, I'll tell you where to get "quality" balloons & a pump!)
Oh, and I speak Spanish & enough French & Portuguese to teach you these skills, if English isn't your best language! That's been a fun part of this job, meeting people from not just all over the country, but all over the world!
Kind of related...We were distributing food to a Vietnamese community in Dallas, Texas. I decided to show-off my Vietnamese & gave a woman a package of diced chicken (gà chặt). I used the wrong word & said "cô gái chặt"...chopped girl...oops! Yes, I got a strange look from the lady. Luckily someone that spoke both languages was there & explained, ha! Vietnamese is NOT my language!
