Why does the universe work the way it does? There are so many questions you can ask about why things work a certain way, or why certain events happen. In this class I work to use math and science to answer the questions learners have about why the universe works. A lot of the questions students have are never answered by standard curriculum, which can lead to frustration. I want to answer those questions and help students keep their love of learning! I specialize in finding fun twists to standard curriculum to help my students build critical thinking skills as well as scientific and mathematical knowledge. By adding a new twist to a familiar topic we can expand our thinking to include new possibilities. I have taught science to homeschool students for the last 18 years and during that time I have developed many teaching techniques and hands-on projects to help students explore concepts in new and exciting ways.
