Description

Class Experience

First, we will discuss the original Cinderella story together. Next, we will read “Cinderella’s Rat” by Susan Meddaugh. While we read, I will ask a variety of comprehension questions that students can respond to with gestures, speech, writing, or typing. After we read, we will discuss the text and compare it to the original. We will focus on elements of plot, such as characters, events, and resolution. Students will then have the opportunity to share which version of the story they like best...

Students will improve their reading and listening comprehension skills, their comparison skills, and their writing skills.

There is no sensitive or high-risk information in this class.

There will be no homework assigned.

Paper and pencil

There will be no assessment given.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
