This class is listed as 45 minutes. I believe that most of these classes will be completed in just 45 minutes, however I think that some classes will be a little longer, if your child is not able to stay until the end of the class, please let me know. I am happy to provide the recording of the class upon request.

For many of these recipes, a cook or baking time will take place during class. During that time, I will be working with the students on building community. We will talk about things that they have attempted to cook or bake outside of class. Students will also be able to ask questions about cooking and baking during this time.

I will provide the ingredient list for these classes one week before the each class. If you have a student with allergies, please contact me so we can determine if there is a possible substitution.

Hi! My name is Lauren, but my students call me "Best Teach". I graduated from Westminster College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I earned my Pennsylvania English as a Second Language Program Specialist K-12 certification. I moved to Shenandoah, Virginia to teach English as a Second Language in 2006. I taught over 40 students (K-12) at 4 different schools. In 2007, I moved to the traditional first grade classroom.

Since then, I have taught in many different capacities. I have taught baby sign language to parents, online for two years as an English as a Second Language teacher, and as a homeschool tutor. My most valuable teaching experience has come as a homeschool mom. I have been teaching my neurodivergent 15 year old son and neurotypical 12 year old daughter since the day they were born.

I bring a variety of classes to Outschool, because I like to pull from all of my interests and talents.
