Class Experience

Students will make the food item during the week that the video is released. After class, students will be asked to share their successes and difficulties. Students will also complete a Kahoot quiz each week that will related to the recipe that they finished that week, materials that were used, and tips that the teacher has taught in class.
Materials and supply lists will released 1 week before each class. The following is a list of materials that would be needed over the 4 weeks of this class: beater, cookie sheets, a large, 6 quart pot, cutting board, measuring cups, measuring spoons, utility knives, apple/carrot peeler, apple slicer, 9 inch baking dish, mixing bowls, basting brush, parchment paper
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will likely need the help of a parent to do things such as turn on the oven and stove and monitor knife use.

Chicken Noodle Soup will require the students to use the stovetop and to cut with a knife. I am also asking the parent to have the chicken precooked for the student so that they can cut it during class.

Apple Crisp will require the students to use the oven as well as a knife.

Banana Muffins will require the use of the oven and beaters.
