Description

Class Experience

* To develop a positive body relationship.
* Develop healthy techniques to calm and clear the mind
* To build a strong mind-body connection to help relieve stress, anxiety and depression.
I am a certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher.  I also a certified mindfulness life coach and meditation guide. I love yoga and I love sharing it along with all of its benefits with my students.

Students should have a yoga mat or a towel for class. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet is preferable as it allows for a better grip. But if you would like to wear socks please make sure they are yoga style socks with grip points on the sole. Please make sure to have water available and comfortable clothing that will allow movement. Also for our mindfulness activities, below is the supply list for ALL activities. Each day will need a portion of these items for each individual day: Day 1 - Decorate a Card: * Paint (watercolor or acrylic art paints) * Water * Drinking Straw * Paper (thick paper or cardstock preferable) Day 2 - Gratitude Card: * Pen or pencil * decorated card from day 1 Day 3 - Gratitude Tree: * Sticks or twigs * Jar * Ribbon * cardstock or scrapbook paper * scissors * hole punch * pen Day 4 - Mind Jar: * Jar with a lid * Water * Glitter (dry or glitter glue)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

If at any time during the class, your student feels discomfort or strain, they are to gently come out of the posture. Your student may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that your student listens to their body, and respect its limits on any given day. As their yoga teacher I remind students to listen to their bodies and not to strain. 

Please also note: yoga is a physical activity and injuries can occur if children aren't supervised. Thank you.
