In this winter class students will extend their knowledge beyond the basics of lighting and composition using any digital camera or phone. Students will photograph winter themes and will present their work in class. This is a great way to practice their visual art, small group skills, and make new friends. Everyday we will look at example photos and talk about what makes good lighting and composition, and also learn how to use different camera angles to create a more dramatic photograph....
Students will take their photography skills to the next level in this this class!
Students will be given projects after class 1 and 2 and will share 3-5 photos with the class. Go through your photography homework with a friend or parent to find your best work. This is what you will share with the class! Students are encouraged to practice their photography and sharing skills throughout the winter with projects given on the last day of class.
Students will need a type of digital camera and a way to share the images to the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Young or new students may need help using the share screen option or downloading photos to the computer. Be sure to set aside time to look through your child's photographs.
