The class will begin with introductions. I will then sing and sign in American Sign Language the song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and teach it to the learners. I will read aloud a secular Christmas poem/story called 'Twas the Night Before Christmas including gentle questioning about predictions and invitations to reflect and comment. I will invite the students to tell their favorite part of the story. When the story is finished, the students will do a step-by-step holiday drawing/coloring. We will review American Sign Language for the song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and learn a few signs for lesson vocabulary.

This will be a secular story and song with no religious content.
