Have you thought about signing your little dancer up for a multi-day ballet class such as my Fantasy Garden Ballet class but are unsure about if your child will like it? Try out this one-time introductory class first! We will warm up to a fun song, and I will then show students the basics of ballet, to include: *First position of the feet *Second position of the feet *Plie *Grand plie *Tendu *Arabesque *Attitude *Bourree turn *Saute *Port de bras At least one song from the Fantasy Garden soundtrack will be included, but we will also do exercises to different ballet songs as well. Please note that I do not mute students (unless a student is being especially disruptive or background noise is especially loud) because I encourage my dance questions to be interactive.
Learning Goals
To learn first and second position of the feet in classical ballet, and to develop a love for movement.

Parental Guidance
It is highly recommended that parents supervise their children as they take this class and ensure that they adhere to the correct flooring requirement, spacing requirement, and clothing requirement. Dance is a physical art form and injuries can occur if children are not focused and not dancing in the right setting or clothing. It is imperative that students wear either ballet dance shoes or dance barefoot- NO socks allowed, as slipping is very easy when trying to dance in socks.
Supply List
*Ballet shoes are strongly recommended, but not required. If not dancing in ballet shoes, please have child go barefoot. No socks. *A hard surface to dance on *An open space to dance on *Exercise/workout clothes *Water
