Tutoring: Get the Support You Truly Need (1hr)

*This is a 30 MINUTE class that meets once per week for 8 weeks

In these sessions, students can get additional instruction and practice for skills they need more help in. Subjects covered include reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies. Instruction will be based what specific areas students need help with and a small assessment to determine areas of need. Instruction and practice will be provided using various techniques such as interactive assignments and demos on a whiteboard, and/or interactive games for continuous practice and goal setting. Students can be enrolled for as many sessions that are needed.

These sessions are meant for parents who prefer to enroll in tutoring sessions in bulk. This ensures the student's spot for the requested days and time. The sessions begin with a quick assessment to determine where students are and what areas need to be practiced during the sessions. Each session will include mini-lessons and practice materials for each topic of need. Students' progress will be tracked to make sure they reach mastery with each skill. Topics covered include those of reading, math, and other subjects that need improvement. 

The purpose is to make sure students understand the skills that's needed for their level and are able to complete tasks using those skills independently. When students are able to accurately complete tasks on their own using the skills practiced throughout the sessions, they have begun to show mastery.

***IF STUDENT DOES NOT SHOW UP FOR CLASS WITHIN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF CLASS, THE STUDENT WILL BE COUNTED AS A NO-SHOW AND CLASS WILL END. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF STUDENTS MISS CLASS, THOSE ARE SPOTS THAT OTHER STUDENTS COULD USE.
