Class Experience
This tutoring class is designed to equip students with special learning needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, other neurodiverse learning needs) with the tools and strategies necessary to succeed. Each session, we will work towards a specific goal that has been identified between myself and parents beforehand via outschool messaging. Goals may cover more than one session. Suggestions of topics covered: Managing Anxiety Managing Anger Managing ADHD / Executive Functioning Problem Solving Understanding Emotions This is a 1:1 interactive tutoring session. NOTE: This is not a therapeutic session. It is an opportunity for students to fill their “toolbox” with coping skills and other strategies to manage strong emotions, anxiety, anger, ADHD, as well as tools for problem solving and understanding emotions.
