In this class we will talk about Turning Red and Mei's experience with managing stressful situations. We will discuss how to manage similar situations in our own lives. We will practice taking turns speaking in class all while getting the wiggles out by dancing. We will listen to some music from Turing Red as well as some other favorites. During our class we will learn warm up to music from the soundtrack and learn jazz choreography to "It's Gonna Be May". We will learn some classic jazz dance steps such as a jazz square, pivot turn and how to hit isolations and accents in the music to really grab the audience's attention.

This class includes movement so a space with no obstacles is recommended. *Please note that in all classes including music and movement, learners will be asked to unmute themselves after each song. I wish I could do it for you, but ZOOM requires each user to unmute themselves. This is a way to minimize glitching with audio and video. We will practice this at the beginning of each class.*

I am a mom first and have learned a lot in the past decade on trying to teach my own children how to manage stressful situations. We all learn new tactics everyday and I look forward to the discussions we will have on this in our class!
I have been teaching children for over 20 years and have a degree in Dance and English. We will move and learn while having fun! My performing credits include Touring the World with Broadway’s Evita, Sesame Street Live, and performing in Disney World Theme Parks as well as regional theatres for children and adults alike. It is extra fun to take class from the real life Pinkalicious, Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy!
