Class Experience

Gobble Gobble! What's that you hear? Turkey is in trouble! Will you help him disappear?

In this class your child will use their imagination and creativeness to disguise their very own turkey and share it with the rest of the class. We will begin class by greeting our friends and singing a fun turkey song. Then, your child will listen to one of my favorite Thanksgiving books, "Turkey Trouble." Finally, your child will take turns sharing their disguised turkey with the rest of the class. Perhaps their turkey will be a football player, ninja, ballerina or fish... Let them use their imagination and create anything they wish.

This project can be completed individually or you are welcome to help your child make their ideas come alive! Once you have signed up for the course you will be able to download your turkey file and get right to work. This is a Thanksgiving favorite of mine and I know your child will have so much fun creating their very own turkey!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! Welcome to my classroom! My name is Whitney and I was born and raised in beautiful Northern Michigan. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University and have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings over the course of 10 years. I love the curiosity and learning that takes place at the preschool age and have
especially loved teaching my daughter early literacy skills. I enjoy teaching the
connection between the letters of the alphabet and their sounds through songs,
finger plays and poems. Aside from homeschooling my daughter, my most recent teaching experience has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) online to children in China for the past two years. I have enjoyed learning a new platform and meeting students from around the world. I would consider myself a lifelong learner and I hope to instill a love for learning in all of my students by creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where all of my students feel safe and encouraged to reach their highest potential.

Fun Facts: My favorite color is blue. My favorite season is Fall. My favorite hobbies include running, camping, crafting, sipping coffee, and adventuring with my two kids. I also love golden retrievers. I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool and I look forward to meeting your child in my classroom!
