Use coupon code CTURKEY2 for $2 off this one-time class. What animal do you think of when you hear the word: Thanksgiving? Turkeys! Turkeys are really cool birds! What makes a turkey a bird? What is that red skin? What sound do they make? Look at those feathers and that beak! In this one-time class, students will learn the answers to these questions and more! We will cover the anatomy and adaptations of turkeys with a book, discussion, and slides. We will start class with a fun question and a fun turkey read-aloud called "Gobble, Gobble: One Year in the Life of a Wild Turkey" by Cathryn Falwell. Then, we will talk about all the cool parts of a turkey and awesome adaptations that help a turkey survive! At the end of class, we will work together to draw and label a turkey diagram.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to label parts of a turkey and name one adaptation.
