In this class, students will learn the basics of tuning a guitar. The instructor will demonstrate how to use a tuner and/or tuner app and discuss the parts of the guitar used to tune. Best practices for tuning will be explained in order to help students tune most effectively and avoid issues such as breaking strings. At the end of class, each student will receive individual attention and assistance to tune their guitar. This is a great class to take to get ready for any group guitar class. A guitar that is in tune will ensure that students will get the most out of any guitar class they take next.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of tuning a guitar including use of a tuner, parts of a guitar necessary to tune, and strategies to tune effectively.

Parents are encouraged to assist younger students with tuning during the class.
