Improve flexibility while learning Gymnastics, Acro-Dance, and Tumbling skills at home? This class is designed to help students learn Acro moves that require little space and zero equipment—unless you count socks and pillows as equipment. Each class starts with a high-energy warm-up before going into drills and skills for the day. Students who have taken my Level 1 class will continue to work on skills, but they will increase the amount of time devoted to strengthening muscles. Each week...
Each body is different and safety is the priority for this class. Students will work on skills and build the strength and flexibility for other skills that take more time to develop. Students will work on: Cartwheels Standing Backbends Tripod Stand Handstand Splits (open, square) Rolls (acrodance) There is no guarantee that any one student will be able to do all of the moves listed within 8 weeks. Some of theses skills can take regular practice over months or years.
Ms. Rae is a professional dancer and choreographer. She practices yoga daily and has been studying aerial and circus arts for 5 years. She has taught Flexibility and Tumbling at Camp Choreography by Rae and Choreography by Rae for two years and has seen students develop skills and self-confidence.

Cartwheels are fun outside, but rolls may not feel good on the ground.
Physical Advisory: *** please note: students who are under age 8 will not learn tripod stand.*** This class involves physical movement. If you are unsure of your child's physical ability to participate please consult your physician. A gymnastics mat is not required. Practicing on carpet or on a gymnastics mat is ideal. If your child is practicing on a wooden floor, a gymnastics mat, yoga mat, or towel may help. Participation without shoes is recommended. Ideally the dance space will be at least feet 5-6 feet wide and free of obstruction. Participants have been known to dance in living rooms and bedrooms. By registering for this class it is understood that each family has considered the space the child is moving in and it's appropriateness for a movement based activity. By registering for this class it is understood that the instructor is not responsible for injuries that may result from participation including injuries that may result from children not following directions. Injuries may include, bumps or bruises (example: a kid spins and falls down), fractures/ sprains/ broken limbs (example: a kid chooses not to follow instruction and tries to do a back flip). By registering for this class it is understood that each family has considered the physical health of their child and has taken into consideration any restrictions on movement that a family physician has advised. While most movement is not vigorous enough to upset an individuals asthma, we respect that each individual has different physical abilities. Children are encouraged to stop any movement that causes physical or emotional pain.
