Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
We will all do a fun warm-up together then work on stretching and flexibility. Students will then learn tumbling (flips), gymnastics, balancing, cheer, parkour and acro dance skills. I will demonstrate the skill then everyone will work on that particular skill. While everyone is practicing a particular skill I will watch and give tips/pointers to EACH individual student. One of the unique things about the classes I offer, is that each child continuously receives specific tips and pointers throughout the entire class.

I keep the class size small so each child experiences frequent INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION and PERSONAL FEEDBACK every class! We will end class with a brief conditioning routine. The stronger they become, the easier each skill will be! No previous experience necessary. If your child has experience I can work with them at their individual level challenging them personally.

Each week the content will be LEARNER DIRECTED based on discussions from the previous week. Meaning that your child gets to help choose what to work on EVERY week! If you are new feel free to message me to see what the plan is or have your learner share what they wish to work on!

Here are just some of the skills we can work on. Have another skill in mind? Just ask!

Basic Tumbling/Acro skills include: rolls (forwards, backwards and other variations), handstands (and handstand variations), bridges, cartwheels (and cartwheel variations), aerials, round-offs, kick-overs, walkovers, limbers and more!

Basic Balancing/Acro Dance skills include: walks (forward, sideways, backwards), kicks, dips, jumps, side handstands, libs, arabesques, heal stretches, scales, scorpions, turns and more!

Basic Cheer skills include: motions, arm positions, jumps and cheers. Or maybe we will work on routines!

Flexibility skills include: splits, over-splits, bridges, heal stretches, scales, scorpions, bow & arrows and more!

Basic Parkour Skills - vaults, kongs, precision jumps, shoulder rolls and more.

Flexible age range. Older/younger learners are welcome!

*A mat is HIGHLY recommended. You will need space to move around (inside or outside). An area at least 6x8 ft where nothing will get knocked over or broken is recommended.

INSIDE: If you do not have a mat, then a carpeted area is a must.

OUTSIDE: A flat grassy area with a blanket, or mat, placed on the grass.

**Due to the physical nature of this class, it is required that the camera be on and focused on the learner for the entire class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I started competition cheerleading when I was 14. I very quickly fell in love and was in the gym almost every day! I cheered on my All-Star team until I aged out then cheered on my college competition team until I graduated!

I have coached children pretty much all of my life. I have coached many sports/activities but my passion is coaching cheerleading/gymnastics. I started coaching gymnastics at the age of 15 and quickly moved onto coaching competition cheerleading as well.

I have coached all ages and levels: kids as young as 1.5 years all the way through adults.
