Description
Class Experience
Students will develop their skills as brass players by learning to warmup and practice in a healthy, efficient way.
Hi there! My name is John Lloyd. I'm a professional musician living in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I've been playing trombone for 18 years and making music on instruments since I was 5. I am currently a trombonist in the US Air Force Heritage of America Band where I perform music of all styles and direct the Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble. I also continue to perform as a freelance musician throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. I received a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University with concentrations in Jazz Studies (2013) and Music Education (2015). I have taught private lessons to beginners through college music students and been a music teacher to pre-K through 8th grade students.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students receive informal written and oral feedback on a weekly basis.
