Description

Class Experience

In this one week class, learners will no only learn about a different country each day, but experience its beauty and imagine what it would be like to visit. Along the way, as in real travel, we will be learning about major geography features, major landmarks, famous sights, local food, and interesting historical tidbits. I will prepare a presentation that includes official facts and also beautiful scenic sights.  Depending on availability, we might also use interactive/ virtual reality style...

Please print the handouts in advance.  These will includes maps, review activities, and for some countries, printouts for our "souvenir"  Learners can also bring an empty toilet paper (optional as an added feature for one of our souvenirs)
We will play a game on Nearpod and a game on Kahoot so the learner should be able to navigate clicking on the link and perhaps splitting their screen to see both the app and the class, or have a separate device.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
