Description
Class Experience
- Give students and parents more information about my teaching style and whether coding is something they'd like to learn - Introduce coding as something doable and fun - Engage students in a discussion about what coding is, and what they can do with it - Introduce the concept of variables - Get students started on a digital art project that they can customize and continue developing after the lesson is over
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
To make setup as easy as possible, we will use Codepen for writing and running code. You don't need to do any setup before the lesson, but you can set up a free account if you'd like.
