Homework
1-2 hours per week. After each session, we will send the assignments for the week to the parent's email via the Outschool Messaging system. This will usually include a few songs and exercises to practice, along with some specific notes on what to focus on. Learners will progress at different paces based on how often they practice. We typically recommend practicing 3-4 times a week, for 10 minutes a day for kids 8 and under, and 20 minutes a day for kids 9+. Older teens may be willing to invest even more time, but consistency is better than one long practice session once a week!

Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
This class will go over the basics of singing, including talking about how our voices work, good posture, and matching pitch. There will also be a time to ask any questions about what repeated voice lessons with Ms. Ashley or Ms. Shelbbie would look like.

If you choose to sign up for repeated voice lessons, here are some details on our teaching method!

In these one-on-one classes, intended to be scheduled on a weekly or biweekly basis, Ms. Ashley or Ms. Shelbbie will teach you or your child how to sing. We will explore music theory, proper technique, and sing songs in a variety of styles, until you are a pro!

We believe learning should be fun, so lessons will consist of a mix of singing songs, music theory activities, and educational games. We adapt our curriculum to your learner's interests, and can cover a variety of genres of music. Maybe you can even compose your own piece!

Topics we cover include:
Breath Support
Vowels and Diction
