15 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time course, students will gather together to discuss the days oft the week, the months of the year, and letter of the day! This is an excellent way to find out if my Pre-K Circle Time class or my Ongoing Pre K Curriculum class right for your child. Teaching will be teacher directed but there will be lots of opportunity for sharing from the students. Schedule will be similar to the following: 1. Greeting/How are you? Students will say hello to the teacher and one another. Students will be asked an "ice-breaker" question of the day. 2. Calendar and/or numeracy activities: students may discuss the days of the week and the months of the year and sing two different songs. Students will also practice counting as a group, and number identification. The numeracy activities will change depending on the needs of the students enrolled. 3. Letter and literacy activities: students will go over the alphabet, some letters, and letter sounds. Students will sing the alphabet song and discover words that start with a specific letter. 4. Goodbye/ See you next time! *Please note that because this is a discounted class it can be taken a maximum of 2 times as it is meant to give you an idea of how I run my ongoing class. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out*
Learning Goals
Students will practice numeracy and literacy skills. Parents will get an idea of how my Pre K (2x/week) and my Kindergarten (5x/week) classes are run.
Please note, the Ongoing Pre K class is similar in nature, but more in depth as it runs 25 minutes, 3 days a week. The ongoing class has additional printing sheets, activities, and games.
Parents, please note that children between the ages of 3 and 6 are invited to sign up for either course! Please choose which one you think would best fit your child's learning needs. If you have any questions about either class I am happy to answer them.
