Description
Class Experience
We will learn how to use watercolors to create this gentle fall scene. Proper brushes and brush care will be discussed. We will learn to blend colors. We will practice shading and hi-lighting. We will play with water and paint to create light and dark colors. Students will learn to create a focal point while pushing back the background. I like to give enough instruction for the students to understand our goals, yet leave room for their own creativity to emerge. Mainly, we will play with...
Students will learn brush care, how to use watercolor, blending, shading, and hi-lighting along with some color theory.
Trained in watercolor, acrylics and oils, I have been painting, and teaching art for over twenty years. I am always inspired by my students individuality and creativity.
1 file available upon enrollmentSupply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, palette paper (or a watercolor tray or a plastic plate works), Watercolor paint tubes, not the trays. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
I will write a brief review after the class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
