Description

Class Experience

Students will learn what the treble clef is and learn to name the parts such as the clef, staff, lines, and spaces.
Students will learn to begin reading music by identifying the notes of the treble clef.
Students will learn to identify the spaces by the word FACE. The lines will be taught using the sentence "Every Good Boy Does Fine."
They will also be encouraged to make their own fun sentence or phrase to help them remember.
I've been a music educator for 20 years. I have taught private lessons as well as children's choirs, and have recorded in a professional studio. I have performed with various chamber choirs, orchestras, and bands, and I enjoy sharing my passion for music with learners of all ages. I also have experience teaching English as a second language (ESL). I would be happy to accommodate students who are learning English.
Students will be given flashcards to practice.
Please bring the printed escape room handout and a pencil.
The students will complete two escape room games, one after learning the space names and the other after learning the lines.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This escape room is designed for young children and is appropriate for all ages.
