Treasure Hunt: Solve the Clue, Show and Share - It's Christmas Time

US Grade Preschool - 1
In this one-time class, students will work their way through a treasure map listening to and solving clues. As each clue is solved students will search through their homes for an item that fits the clue. (For example: “If there’s snow I can build a snowman. To make him look good I have a plan. I’ll need some of this and some of that, some twigs, stones, a scarf and a _______. (hat)). Once they have found one item that fits the clue, (there are sometimes multiple items that will work for...
This class will help students develop their social skills, interacting with others, and listening when others are sharing. It will also give students the opportunity to grow in their communication skills as they will all have the chance to share about their item. In their sharing, they will also be able to work on their English skills as they will be encouraged to use descriptive words (adjectives) and talk about their items using full sentences. Each clue will also give students the chance to problem solve and work out what the riddle means. All while having fun.
