Description

Class Experience

Students will learn general knowledge about Rocky Mountain National Park's location and size. Then start the adventure through some major hikes and stunning views as we "Travel" together on a virtual field trip to Colorado. The topics that will be covered are general info about where in Colorado the park is and highlight some landmarks and hiking trails. Course is catered to students without in-depth knowledge of National Parks or hiking, if your child does have that knowledge and is looking...

Students will improve their knowledge about one of America's great national parks and see views so beautiful it will make them want to get outdoors and explore.

Colorado is my favorite state and because of that I have visited Rocky Mountain National Park more times than any other park in America. I have hiked over half the trails in the park and hope to knock out the other half sometime soon. I have done extensive research of Colorado and the RMNP as I help others make trips there as I used to be a Travel Agent.

Paper and pen/pencil (optional), if they would like to take notes. Although I do send a detailed email at the end of class about everywhere we went in class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
