In this class, we will "travel to" Portugal and learn several interesting and fun facts about it. Information will include the geography, a little language, the capital, major cities, the currency, popular tourist attractions, and more. Because travel is a visual experience, our virtual traveling will include many pictures and virtual reality tours of the country as well. Learners gain a basic understanding of a new country. They will be able to locate it on a map and share information about the language(s) spoken, currency used, etc. They will also increase their curiosity about and their openness to parts of the world they've never seen.
I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and have lived abroad in Japan and travelled to a total of 19 countries and 31 US states. I have personally travelled to Portugal and have fun experiences to share! I'm also a Nearpod Certified Educator.
Homework Offered
If requested, after each class, learners can complete a one-page handout, including information they learned about the Portugal, as well as places they would like to visit, foods they would like to eat, etc. if they were to travel to Portugal in real life.Assessments Offered
