Class Experience
Welcome to Karen's travel course! This class focuses on traversing London. Paddington, the beloved bear character, will act as our guide while we tour this city. Each class will have a PowerPoint presentation that students will follow along with during class. Videos, pictures, quizzes, and games will be used to motivate each learner. Having backpacked across and lived in the United Kingdom, I have many memories journeying across the nation of England. I am a travel enthusiast and love learning about architecture and the history of each place I visit. In class, I plan to use my own travel experience to motivate students to travel to England themselves someday! My ancestry is from Great Britain, so many of the places I visit with my students in our travels are places that are tied into where I am from and my family's history.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
