In this 55-minute virtual travel tour, we visit Florence, Italy and the surrounding Tuscany region. A city with almost 3000 years of history and the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. We will learn about the Renaissance and meet artists and architects like Michelangelo and his statue of David, Brunnolesci and his architectural masterpiece The Duomo, and go on a tour of the world-famous Uffizi Gallery. Then we will go shopping for gold along the almost 700-year-old bridge, Ponte Vecchio and test drive a Ferrari while touring the city. Next, we will take a day trip and go hiking through Cinque Terre (the five villages) and learn to make pesto - YUM! Finally, we will go truffle hunting in the Tuscan countryside and learn how to make pizza and gelato. Come with me on a virtual travel tour and find out what makes Florence and Tuscany one of the coolest places in the world.

Have you been to this cool city before? Bring your souvenirs and favorite stories to share with the class.
