Do you want to learn more about many of the national parks that are in the United States? I have been to each of these listed national parks and can't wait to teach you all about them :)! We will discuss the geography, geology, wildlife, history and fun facts about each of these listed parks. Learners will have ample opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions throughout the lesson. At the end of each lesson learners will be given a few fun "check for understanding" questions to help them with retaining information about what was taught during the lesson. Learners will also be given the opportunity to share what they learned and liked about the national park discussed. Classes will be taught through discussion and a PowerPoint presentation, using many pictures that I have taken at these national parks, as well as pictures from the National Park Service. My first-hand knowledge of each of the listed national parks allows me to share what I witnessed, learned and explored at each of these parks. I have also thoroughly researched of these parks to help in teaching more about the history and other fun facts about each park. Students only need an interest in nature to enjoy this class. Teacher expertise and credentials
Nevada Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have a BA in elementary education with a minor in history. I love teaching all subjects but most of all, I love teaching young learners about the world around them. I have a great love for history, nature and the great outdoors. I have been blessed throughout my life to have spent a lot of time traveling across the United States. During this time, I have been able to explore many of our country's beautiful National Parks. My dad was a park ranger for many years before becoming a classroom teacher. With that, he instilled in me at a young age the love for learning, teaching and appreciating nature. I love sharing these same principles with others!
