Class Experience

Welcome to Ms. Abby's geography class!

This is a 12-week semester class. We will meet once a week for 45 minutes for 12 weeks. Each week we will learn all about a different state. We will learn a little history behind the state. (For example, the first paper mill was in the state of Maine.)  We will explore topics such as: When did it become a state? Where did it get its name? What is the state bird, flower, animal, and tree? What does the state's flag look like? What are some popular foods...

To discover everything there is about the state

Homework will be posted but will be Optional.

Any extra supplies will be announced two weeks before needed.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Quizlet
Canva
Youtube
Google Slides
Nearpod
Kahoot

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

I will be using YouTube to share videos
Canva to display slides
Google Slides to display 
Nearpod will be screen shared no code will be needed
I will be using Quizlet to test the information. 
I will be doing a Kahoot quiz in class. I will also provide the link to practice the knowledge. I do suggest creating a free account but not required
