Class Experience
In this class, learners will be taught how to study abroad while in high school! Studying abroad is a unique opportunity that most students usually get to experience during their college years. However, there are benefits to studying abroad before that while they are in high school! Benefits include: -Standing out on college applications -Experiencing "dorm life" to prepare for college living -Independence/Self-discovery in a safe and guided atmosphere -Open-minded world view to prepare...
The goal of this class is to have students walk away feeling comfortable and knowledgeable about the process of studying abroad in high school.
I am a licensed teacher with a Master of Arts degree in Teaching. I also work for a high school study abroad company so I have first-hand experience with this topic. The guest speaker chosen for this class is also a highly qualified and licensed high school teacher who is the Managing Director for a high school study abroad company who also holds an M.Ed.
There is no homework for this class.
Students should come to class with questions about studying abroad or travel in general. This is not necessary, but highly recommended.
There is no assessment for this class. However, the teacher will be monitoring students throughout so that they feel comfortable getting a chance to ask any questions they have and never feeling left behind.
45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
