South Korean Art Class: Draw a Travel Girl in a Beautiful Hanbok
Class experience
During this class, students will explore the beautiful culture of South Korea through traditional clothing. Students will draw a Travel Girl character wearing a “hanbok,” the traditional Korean dress. Students of all drawing abilities are able to enjoy this class as the Travel Girl is drawn using shapes and lines. The class will begin with an introduction to the basic facts about South Korea (location, flag, language, food, and pop culture) to get students familiar with this Asian country....
Students will develop a basic understanding of the culture of South Korea by exploring essential facts about the country. Also, students will improve their drawing ability by using common shapes to create a personalized Travel Girl character wearing a “hanbok."
Homework Offered
Let's write a story! Students may complete the "Travel Girl's Diary" worksheet and write about "a day in the life" of their travel girl. If students submit the work within 24 hours of the class, the teacher will give read the story and give feedback.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
