Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Come with me and learn about all the super cool and amazing places and things we can find in this magnificent country Costa Rica in Central America. 

In this 5-day Adventure Camp, we travel through Costa Rica on adventures in San Jose, rainforests, diving the oceans, visiting volcanos, rappelling waterfalls, surfing, and discovering amazing wildlife like toucans, monkeys, sloths, and more! 

You will come away from our camp with a great appreciation of Costa Rica and hopefully a desire to visit one day!

Day 1: Introductions, what do we need to pack? what is the weather like? how long is the flight? Important information to know before traveling.  Arriving in the capital city of San Jose. A tour of San Jose and an introduction to Costa Rican Culture. 

Day 2: Travel to the different kinds of rainforests in Costa Rica and introduction to Costa Rica's Biodiversity (plants and animals) including monkeys, sloths, and more! 

Day 3: Visit 4 of the active volcanos here in Costa Rica as well as their volcanic hot springs. Also a visit to the town of La Fortuna at the base of the Arenal Volcano.

Day 4: Learn about Scuba Diving and dive into the Pacific Ocean to discover the incredible underwater animals like migrating Humpback Whales and then back on land to meet some of the snakes and frogs found here. 

Day 5: Visit some of the most famous waterfalls and hikes on the Pacific Coast and then Wildlife Rescues including The Sloth Sanctuary and fall in love with their rescue monkeys, toucans, sloths, and much much more!

No prior experience is required. 

My classes are inclusive and allow Learners to ask questions, cultivate discussions, and share experiences with each other to learn together and of course, have fun!!  My teaching style is energetic, interactive, engaging, and always supportive.

**Having lived recently in Costa Rica part-time for over 3 years and visited the country many times prior, I am knowledgeable about the country's geography, culture, and wildlife. I also spent time volunteering at wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica. I hold a Degree in Communication & Culture and I am TESOL and TEFL certified (Teaching English as a Second Language)  I am a world traveler that has been privileged to have lived and traveled in many different countries across the world. Traveling is my passion! I am very excited to share my knowledge with your Learner through this course!

Parental Guidance
Discussion of volcanoes are in the class description and the possibility of sharks, reptiles and insects and other creepy crawlers of Costa Rica may come up in discussion or photos.

I also spent time volunteering at wildlife sanctuaries in Costa Rica. I hold a Degree in Communication & Culture. While obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture, I studied and researched communities and their use of culture as an expression to communicate with others, specifically pertaining to Cultural festivals.
