Let’s take a tour around the culturally and historically rich Mediterranean! Visiting Italy, Greece, and Turkey where we’ll explore the locations that set the foundation for much of Western Civilization! By the end of the course students will be able to: ♦ Explore some of the landmarks, landforms, foods, traditions, culture, and nature around Italy, Greece, and Turkey. ♦ Ask appropriate, clarifying questions to gain information about a place, landmark, or culture. ♦ Share a personal travel experience and information with others through writing a “social media post.” ♦ Evaluate their travel experience through writing a “Tripadvisor review.”
While in college, I spent a semester studying abroad in Europe. During that time I visited all of the countries listed, spending a minimum of ten days in each country. Additionally, I have experience working as a tour guide. I also received an Ancient Greece Certificate as part of my Communications B.A during my collegiate studies.

Students should print out the travel guide prior to the course. They should also have colored pencils, markers, or other drawing materials, and a writing utensil.
