Class experience
US Grade 4 - 6
This ongoing class takes students on an exciting journey across the continent of Europe. We will explore a new country in a different region each week. Students will have a better understanding of the geography, people, and histories of the countries we visit each week.
I have my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Sociology and have studied about different cultures around the world. I am passionate about geography and history, and always welcome the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion with learners.
A one-page worksheet is provided in class for each lesson. Although this is optional, I encourage learners to do their best to bring it to class each week. You may also come to class with a sheet of paper and a writing utensil.
Sometimes, I play a short You-Tube video during a lesson. This is done via screen share and the content is age-appropriate. We will also play blooket to review what we learned in class. Learners will only need to click on a link from me in the zoom chatbox to have access or join in the game. No additional device or account is needed for this. Upon request, I will occasionally send the link for learners to review the lesson at home.
