What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Most people interact with Artificial Intelligent agents everyday. Are you familiar with Siri? Or Alexa? Cortana? Google? These are examples of AI agents. There are many, may more examples in daily life. What examples can you think of? Game characters with artificial intelligence! Robotic vacuums or home security bots that can detect movement around your house. I bet you have heard about self-driving cars? You might be wondering how does a self-driving car learn to drive? The answer to that is Machine Learning (ML), a process where one 'trains' an AI agent to make decisions. In this course we will explore and experiment with different with types of AI Agents. We will learn to train our Agents with different types of data. Learners will gain hands-on experiences for training machine learning systems and build them alongside their instructor. By the end of the course, learners will have created 3 AI/ML based projects: >>> Sessions 1 & 2: How Kind of You! An introduction into Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, students will teach their AI model to recognize compliments vs insults. Build your model, then create a test set to train your model with! >>> Sessions 3 & 4: Let's Talk To a Computer! Take your AI model to the next level by building your own chat bot! Teach your AI how to recognize questions and respond the way a human would. PLEASE NOTE: for the SESSION starting July 27th: The last two classes are both scheduled for August 23rd - a double whammy! >>> Session 5 & 6: Can You Beat a Computer? Now that we have a good understanding of how to train a model to recognize text, it's time to teach it to play a game! Create your own version of Tic Tac Toe using Python, then create an Al who can learn to play against you. Will you create an undefeatable Tic Tac Toe AI? Prior programming experience in Python is recommended for this course, but is certainly not required!
