Trail Cam Tracking is back with a winter wildlife twist! In this club style class, learners will help to document winter wildlife behavior using trail camera footage and gain skills in tracking signs of animal life such as footprints, scat, and more. Participants will get the chance to see what has been caught on Rosie's Upstate New York trail camera during the winter months. They will then discuss the findings with a group of other young nature lovers. The trail camera footage and discussion prompts will change monthly, and repeats are more than welcome! Time will be given at the end for any group member to share age appropriate trail camera or wildlife footage, and tracking or sightings stories. After each session learners will be prompted to complete an entry to add to their Wildlife Log Book. After enrolling families will receive a printable cover page, for their first day, and entry forms. This page can be reprinted and used on your own or for future sessions. Club members will need one entry form for each week they attend, a sharpened pencil, and their favorite coloring supplies.

I have been tracking wildlife using trail camera footage, both personally and for my local nature center, for the past 5 years. I also often incorporate my trail cameras into the youth programs that I host in person, and am excited to bring my knowledge to Outschool!
