Traditional British Fish and Chips With Tartar Sauce

Classic fish and chips are a British staple that we all love. You can choose to pay money at a restaurant or take my class and learn how to make this for yourself and your family at home.

Class experience

1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup corn starch
salt and pepper
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups of beer or club soda (please note that alcohol will be cooked off in the process)
1 lbs. skinless fresh cod fillet (I will demonstrate and teach them how to cut this into the perfect thickness), You can double the amount of fish if needed. Batter and Tarter Sauce will be enough for 2 pounds of cod
4 to 6 cups of vegetable 3 inch deep in the pot. 
1 lemon
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup dill pickle relish (NOT SWEET RELISH)
1 1/2 tsp malt vinegar
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 pinches salt

2 large mixing bowls
1 medium mixing bowl
1 large pot
1 large slotted spoon
1 pair of tongs
1 cutting board
1 chefs knife
1 baking sheet
1 cooling rack
measuring cups
measuring spoons
mixing spoon
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance is strongly advised for the use of the stove and kitchen utensils.
